6 Days to Go!

The days and weeks have been flying by, and rarely does one go by without some sort of "wedding project" to be working on!

The last few weeks have been all about the details; getting RSVPs,  creating table assignments, making place cards, table numbers, and programs, shopping for items for our bathroom baskets, out-of-town bags and kids' activity (and putting  those together) and finalizing details with all of our vendors and venue.  I am VERY pleased to report that, 6 days before our wedding, we appear to be done with the planning and making, and ready to enjoy!  We have a few more place cards to print (maybe 10), some grocery shopping to do (gotta have food at the church!), our marriage license to pick up tomorrow after the 5-day waiting period, and my newly cleaned, re-dipped, re-sized and soldered rings to pick up from the jeweler.  But otherwise, we're set!  I'm hoping to have 100% of our projects done tomorrow, so we can lay back and relax until Friday's rehearsal!

Last night was my bachelorette party; our moms, some cousins, a few coworkers and my besties   took me out to my fave restaurant (Big Bowl), then back to one of my bridesmaids' houses for a sleepover (with an impromptu field trip to Cosmic Bingo at the local casino...) Great fun was had by all!

Today we hosted a BBQ for our families; some  of our siblings had yet to meet each other (or the other's parents!) and my FMIL bought us a beautiful Weber gas grill for our wedding, so it was a great chance to "break it in" :)  What a great way to celebrate and relax with our immediate families before the craziness of the wedding!  We had a wonderful time, and were surprised by my parents, who bought us our AMAZING luggage as their wedding gift!  Fabulous day!

I hope to blog one more time before the wedding (and perhaps once or twice on the honeymoon) to chronicle this beautiful and exciting time in our lives.  (Maybe, if we're lucky, Joseph will even blog!)

Can't wait until Saturday, when I become a Mrs.!
