Getting sicker by the day, but also finding more and new ways to cope. Early this week, I picked up some Sea Bands (anti-nausea wristbands) at Walgreens; they have helped some. I am learning to manage my diet to help with the nausea, but it's tricky. Some days are just better than others.
Had a funny conversation with Kylie yesterday where I marveled at how very sick I've been and how I had no idea women got this sick from pregnancy. She reminded me about the time I called it the "9-month flu" and I said "I thought that was just a joke!" She said "Nope. You feel just like you have the flu" Indeed. There is a huge H1N1 (swine flu) outbreak going on, and one night this weekend, I swore to Joseph that I had the swine flu. I'm pretty sure I don't; just morning sickness, but it's terrible. Hoping to speed through the next 3 1/2 weeks!
We're getting more and more excited about having a new son or daughter; as each week passes, chances of miscarriage decrease and we are more relaxed in our joy as we await the arrival of our new family member! Our 10-week appointment is on Friday, and we are excited to get an update on the baby's progress and start prenatal appointments in earnest!
