My veil! My veil!

This was an exciting accomplishment this week.. after starching and playing with more fabric to make flowers, I made some out of one of the kimono samples that I liked and they coordinate well with my dress and veil. I decided that I was definitely going to attach them as the accents to the birdcage veil that I made a few weeks ago.  The way the flowers ended up configured on the combs was somewhat of a happy accident, but I'm very excited.  Here are the pictures of each end of the comb, and then some with the veil in my hair (although not the hairstyle of choice-- just to illustrate):

...and the dressmaker came to take my measurements this weekend, so I will have a muslin mock-up to try on in two weeks... I'm so excited to see how this starts to develop!!! YAY!
