Invitations...

...so, I have written just a little bit about invitations so far.  The big excitement of the weekend was grabbing some pocketfolds from http://www.cardsandpocketsstore.com/ because they are discontinuing two of the styles that I like.  After some deliberation, I ordered midnight blue Poco pocketfolds.  The size of these cute pockets really appeals to me, and the availability of midnight blue really sold me.  The only hitch would be if for any reason they ran out of stock and can't fill the order... I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Instead of the above, I'd flip it so the pocket is on the left.  On the right hand side, there will be the invitation piece, printed on ivory cardstock.  I am considering using the same green/indigo pattern in a small strip on the left-hand side of the invitation card (the same as what was on the save the dates as well as the same blue ribbon).  It will also bear the FI's family crest (mon) as on the Save the Dates.

In the left pocket would be the map, travel information, and RSVP.  The whole packet when closed would be contained with a belly band and teeny tiny Prussian blue ribbon.  The belly band would be in this pattern:

Basically, these mirror the DIY invitation kits at Paper Source, which I love, but in the paper, pattern and color scheme I wanted and using the wonders of the pocketfold!  I realize that this was a splurge, but playing with paper is something I love, so this is as much hobby as anything else...

Other things I'm looking forward to this week: getting more catering quotes, making more progress towards the aisle runner, making more fabric flowers... and working on finding shoes & underthings for the muslin dress fitting in two weeks...
