DIY updates...

Seems I've been busy with studying for exams and haven't been able to post, but I've slowly been working on DIY projects (of course, there will always be more...)

First, I've received the FI's approval for the fabric flower bouts (which will also mean similar corsages for the moms-- I don't think any of the BMs or the flower girls will have them though).  This is what they will look like:

I've been busy making flower bodies, but I was waiting for ribbon (which just arrived) and I still need to get more pearl button centers... I have fabric for about 7 more flowers in addition to the big bunch I have now:

In the meantime, I did a mock up of the final version of the CD favors that will be in OOT baskets and maybe for grabbing at the reception-- I'm excited about these!

I also got FI to weigh in with his opinion and because I'm not great at precision with the fabric pocketfold idea, we're sticking with what we've got.  The mock up of the outside will be similar to this, but with a skinnier ribbon (about 1/4 the size of this one)

This week, I also changed my pick for the BM dress (with the new MOH's approval-- my sister was the MOH but due to a new expected family member in September, she'll be an honorary MOH as opposed to a fully participating one).  The new dress is from Bari Jay and will look like this, only in navy:

Finally, I bought more paper (similar to the above invitation paper sash) to make cake stands for the cream puffs... that is a future project.  And I may just DIY my garter after all... hmmmmm.....
