The details that make my fiance roll his eyes..

...after having briefly strayed from the path of being insane with wedding projects, I have (while procrasting for my exam on Wednesday) returned to the fold of wedding-manic DIYers.  I think I need some little blue pills.

After much deliberation today, I picked out a specific wood bead that will be the center of what will become napkin rings.  Once these arrive, I'm thinking that the band will either be braided raffia or hemp or maybe a natural cording... I still have to decide... these are the wood beads for the napkin rings and I plan to use a single bead or a set of three beads (once I play around a bit more):

And I'm kind of thinking of making napkin rolls like this (courtesy of HGTV's website).. I checked out the fleur de lis fold also, but I'm diggin' the simplicity of this instead:

The napkins are navy dinner napkins (fairly standard looking)-- 20in x 20in.

My FI just rolled his eyes-- on a happy note, I did just send the check to pay of the site, which he approved of as practical (and not fanatical).. He suggested I concentrate on the practical tasks (which are mostly payment-related at this point) before the fanciful ones (favors? OOT bags?  decor details?)

I also made an origami bunny shape and used it on the wrapping for my mom's present for Mother's Day (I have to send something to my sister, so might as well mail it all at once)-- the package of paper I had actually had awesome instructions... I'm actually very bad at making origami anything (i.e., the failed attempt at favor boxes -- you will NOT be seeing a DIY version), but I was able to follow the instructions-- better in person, but not bad for a first try...

That's it for now... tomorrow I really can't procrastinate.. :(  but the fun can resume after I'm done taking my test.. :)
