I'm so excited! I have finally placed the order for our favors! We're going to give out these awesome sugar butterfly creations from Sugarworks LLC in blues and greens along with pairs of chopsticks (bad picture):

I'm excited...but I have no idea how to package these together! One thing my FI is definitely opinionated about--- no Chinese takeout boxes! This triggers a sensitive spot with him (over things Chinese/Japanese being blended together by so many people and over Asian "themes" generally)... It's not that they aren't a fine idea, but they just aren't quite for us...

There are two categories of ideas-- with extra packaging or without. Wanna vote? Here are the options (roughly)
Category 1:No extra packaging, some extra wrapping-- I was thinking I could simply tie them (chopstick and butterfly in clear box) together with skinny navy ribbon and one of the favor tags or alternatively I could fasten the chopsticks to the top of the box by laying them horizontally (parallel to the width of the butterfly) and tying them with a ribbon at each end. This could be done with or without wrapping the butterfly box in rice paper.

A. Tie them together with a single skinny navy ribbon and one of the favor tags
B. Lay chopsticks horizontally and tie them with a ribbon at each end.
C. Same as B., but wrap the butterfly box in rice paper
Category 2: Extra packaging-- I could tie chopsticks, ribbon and the tag on top of a box containing the butterfly (and would choose a box style) or I could tie chopstciks, with or without a ribbon, and a tag to a bag of some sort. That bag might be paper, canvas, jute or satin. For all choices, I'd have to choose whether the box/bag would be ivory, hunter green, navy or kraft. I'd love these... but they aren't practical (given the size/shape of the butterfly):

A. Tie chopsticks, ribbon and the tag on top of a box containing the butterfly with the square box

B. Tie chopsticks, ribbon and the tag on top of a box containing the butterfly with the trinket box

C. Tie chopsticks, ribbon and the tag on top of a box containing the butterfly with the very standard 2-piece square box you see all over the place for favors
D. Tie chopsticks, with or without a ribbon, and a tag to a paper gift bag.

E. Tie chopsticks, with or without a ribbon, and a tag to a canvas bag

F. Tie chopsticks, with or without a ribbon, and a tag to a jute or burlap bag

G. Tie chopsticks, with or without a ribbon, and a tag to a satiny bag
