11/21/09 - Major updates
Well I feel terrible it’s been over a month since I journaled, but I do want to keep you posted on my symptoms and other fun things like that. My boobs are starting to outgrow my full C cup bras J Chris likes that very much. I am constantly full of mucus and clear snot L My weight gain is perfect, about 4 lbs. by week 17. Baby’s heart beat keeps getting lower, at the doctors, I was 144, yesterday Chris and I listened and it was in the high 130’s. My belly finally started showing about a week or 2 ago. But now I feel kinda fat. Sometimes I still have to wake up in the middle of the night to pee, but not as much, and I’m not nauseous as I was ending in about week 13 or 14. Chicken is good again, I don’t think I’m quite as picky as I was either. I am having more vaginal discharge, but nothing outrageous. My eye sight hasn’t changed. I don’t think I’ve gotten too crazy yet J I definitely have more hormones and I cry more easily I think. Oh, my boobs don’t hurt any more!!!! And I have lots of gas.
So, I got sick only twice: once when we went to St. Louis in week 12 or 13 and we went out to breakfast one morning and I didn’t eat before going and I got sick as we were waiting for our food. Thankfully I made it to the toilet in the nick of time. The second time, it was the middle of the night, I think 2 weeks after that 1st episode. I don’t know what happened, the only thing I can think of is that I had a headache (I did the 1st time too) and I may not have eaten enough before I went to bed. I just threw up water that time, it was no fun. I guess I just had to have a little dose of that since everything else has been so perfect!
I think that covers my symptoms, I’ll check back later, hopefully we find out Dec. 11 if it’s a boy or girl!!!

Sept. 23
I went to the doctor today! Oh, before we move ahead, praise the Lord I got over that ear infection, but it took a week and I was miserable :( Be careful with Q-tips!
Ok, so the baby! We saw the 1st ultrasound and baby is big and strong with a healthy heart beat. The doctor says my due date is April 29th, so we got to move it up about 5 or 6 days! So exciting to be farther along than I thought! So I guess tomorrow I'm 9 weeks :) I've got a headache today (thankfully they've been few and far between) and the Tylenol hasn't helped yet, maybe I'll take another dose. And I'm feeling a little nauseous, I need to eat more, but nothing sounds good. Hopefully I'll have my appetite back in a few weeks.
I can't wait to tell everyone! I just told a bunch of people in an e-mail...but we want to wait until 12 weeks to go public. Talk to you then! |

I have an ear infection! It hurts so bad! Apparently kids get them all the time, so little one...if and when you ever get one, mommy is soooo sorry and knows how you feel! I think I just found a great family doctor today, he's got 2 young kids, so I'm sure he'll be great with ours too!
It's so hard not being able to tell any of my friends like Adrienne and Loraine that I'm pregnant yet. I was sooo close to spilling the beans with Adrienne today
2 more weeks till my OB-GYN appointment, and it feels like forever away! I can't wait!
Ok, well I'm going to see if I can get another little nap in before dinner to make up for my lack of sleep last night. |

August 25th,
Wow!
I just took a test last night that said I'm pregnant! It's so overwhelming, God is so good! This is truly amazing. Chris has been wanting this for a while, and I don't think I realized how much I wanted to be pregnant until about 2 nights ago when I was upset and I blurted out in the middle of my tears that I was partially upset because I hadn't conceived a child for Chris yet...well, I think God heard that one and answered my prayer! I knew He would as soon as I asked Him for it.
I just had this intuition that I might be pregnant. I told Chris I wanted to take a "P" test, so we went to the store, picked out the cheapest one, and low and behold; the pregnant test line was about the only one you could see! I had been pretty tired, but I accounted it to all the travel, and I'd also felt a bit queasy, which I could also attribute to the travel, and drinking (not too much, but enough to get me tipsy) at the weddding. But then my nipples hurt, and I almost thought they looked bigger. I just kind of figured I might be pregnant. It's amazing how God gives us women that intuition. We haven't told anyone yet, it's our little secret....for about a week :) |
