After being married for 2 years my husband Dave and I decided it was time to go off the pill. We knew it wouldn't happend right away for us and we were quite alright with that since we had a lot of things going on this last summer. In early September, I was visting family in Canada with my mother and had some ugly heart burn, also I felt like I was getting a cold and I was really tired. I also had gotten up a few times during the night to go to the bathroom and had a huntch that I was pregnant. Sure enough, when I got home and took a test the next morning, I was correct. Dave and I were expecting and we were both very excited.
I then went to the Dr. the next day to confirm that yes, I was 2.5 weeks prenant. We right away told our parents and close friends. Time passed slowly at 1st, then at 6 weeks, we told our families and our work friends
Both of us thought we were having a boy, Jan 5th I was 19 weeks pregnant and we went in for the ultrasound that confirmed I was indeed having a boy!!!
Dave really liked the name LAYNE and at 1st I wasn't sure, but the more I looked at books and picked out names, I didn't like many and the ones I did like -were taken. So, LAYNE began to grow on me and that is now the chosen name for our little guy!
On Janurary 20th, Dave felt Layne move inside of me for the 1st time after dinner when we were laying on the coutch. It was priceless to watch his face light up!
I'm now 24 weeks and will be going on 25 weeks this Saurday which will put me into my 3rd Trimester! I have had a very easy breezy prgnancy so far with no complications or irritations other than the weight gain
The nursery is coming along very nicely. Dave is refinishing furniture that we were given. We've been very blessed by so many good friends that have given us so many awesome toys and bundles of clothes. He will be one stylin little guy!!!
Pregnancy to me is an emotional and wonderful experience and there aren't words to explain the way it feels when a baby moves inside you! It's undesribable and undoubtly the most amazing thing about pregnancy!
