I guess you can say wedding woes....

I have been engaged almost a year and I'm happy, but planning is killing me. The first thing I'm dealing with is the venue situation. We went and visited Anothony's Pier Nine, and loved it to the point that we weren't looking anywhere else and we were booking. Then his cousin had to go and say how we wouldn't be happy there because of the service and food. That started controversey of looking elsewhere. I'm not really to give up AP9 because I have 13 knotties and other people I know telling me otherwise. It feels like the make or break with John(fiancee) is the $5 extra for booking for 2009 prices for 2010, he feels and I agree you pay this years pricing and thats it. It just sux because everything that I have envisoned is in AP9, I mean everything right down to the rehearsal dinner, spending the night in the hotel with my BP, and going to have a girls day getting ready, down to the the evening of the wedding. Like it's all planned in my head, and it's wonderful; it's making the venue becoming a reality difficult. It's like okay, well I can negoiate the $5  and maybe it'll work or it won't; it really is a make or break ordeal. The only thing I can do is try because I want it so bad.

The other thing is, and I really feel like I can't win with this one....it's like no matter what I like John and his mother don't. Don't get me wrong, I value opinions sooo much, but there's only so much I can deal with. It bothers me that I can't pick out something I like. Just an example....I LOVE the monogram Savorski crystal cake topper, well neither of them like it. They rather have the doll like statue of the bride dragging the groom, honestly I hate it. I know it's small things, but stuff like that tends to get with me. Ahh I don't know. I hope I can update soon with some positive news.
