It's Just the Beginning!

Wow! This is such an amazing experience! We found out just a little over a week ago that our whole lives were changing. Our initial reactions were shock and I'll admit: fear. The idea of a child we're responsible for is overwhelming and wonderful.

We celebrated that night with a nice dinner. I rushed to Barnes & Noble beforehand to pick out a present for Mark. I bought "What to Expect" for the two of us (haven't put it down), and a book especially for fathers for Mark and had them gift wrap it in kids' paper. I also bought the baby his first book (her?), "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", which is one of my personal favorites.

 We've only told a few close friends and family, but are excited to share the news at Thanksgiving. We pray and ask others to pray for a healthy baby! We are so grateful for this blessing and gift!

As far as symptoms go, I've been sooo tired (and this really just started kicking in this week), and a little sick. Let's hope it stays mild!
