First Knot Blog. . and quiz results

I think I finally did it: I gave in to The Knot! At least the blog part
. I've never done a "specific" blog like this, but I'll give it a try. I just took some quizzes, and I was surprised, and happy with, the results. They actually mirrored our relationship!
Will and I haven't even been engaged a month yet, and the wedding won't happen until 2009, but I couldn't be happier. We're both in school(me for a second degree, since I already have a B.A., and him to finish his), so an '09 date gives us plenty of time to test the waters and find out what we like before we settle into anything for sure. We've already started looking at venues, and we have the wedding party nailed down too, but other than that, we're trying not to stress like crazy. Just take it slow, and have some fun.
We've had some freak-out moments already(over the guest list and money, mostly), but we're even getting through those all right. We finally have a budget, and even some options to save $$. I know other issues will come up, but we'll deal with those as they happen.
All in all I'm very lucky. . Will agreed to wait, even though he originally wanted to be married next year sometime. He's also diving into the wedding planning right along with me. . even called half the venues we want to see, to make appointments! I couldn't be happier to have a hands-on guy, especially since his little sis(my maid of honor) told me he was nothing like hands-on growing up
He even wants to tag along for gown fittings when the time comes. . . and it means a lot that he cares this much. We're trying to get through all this together, which is how it should be. He likes to plan events to the letter, more so if they're special. . . .
. . and that's what our quiz results said too. The "What Kind of Groom Is He?" pegged Will as a master planner type, and it's right on the money. That one made me laugh. The "Are You a Bridezilla?" thankfully told me I'm not, and I'm trying my hardest to reflect the whole calm bride thing. Even though it's two years out.
Anyway, it's late by now, and we have an appointment to see a venue tomorrow, so I'm out. Just thought, for a first blog, the quiz results were eerily appropriate.
There may be more blogs to come. . probably will be, in fact. . .
