Sneaky, sneaky....

Posted Wednesday, February 06, 2008 1:16 PM

Since my last entry, I'm not feeling guilty anymore about browsing. It's just looking at gowns for now, and any issues that arise, well, I can deal with them as they come at me.

There is a dress event at Alfred Angelo, beginning this Saturday and ending on the 18th...and I'm going just for the hell of it. I have seen a few of their designs in my Knot notebook, so what's the harm in seeing if they flatter me(or not)? Wink

I might bring my camera to take some pics, unless I won't be allowed to disturb the elusive wedding gown in its natural habitat. I've heard some salons are that way because they don't want cheaper copies of their gowns suddenly 'showing up'. We'll see.

I'll look for the ones in my notebook next weekend. For now, here's a pic of my favorite AA gown so far Big Smile

Style 1516 (with purple or blue trim):

#1708 is my second favorite, for the overall look. Even though I'm not too crazy about the front's fabric or the layout on the skirt itself. I'm not sure the colored areas would do well in purple or blue, but the style might look better on than off. (Sadly I can't seem to find a pic of 1708 that'll work in here...)

Will's coming along too...since, well, he just wants to. He is curious about how we'll be treated. (He has some family money socked away, so we won't be the 'typical' college couple getting married...but he doesn't act like he's got money.) He likes to see first impressions, especially if people treat him shabbily, and then they realize he's got money. $$ changes attitudes quickly. So...he'll have fun on that front, too, probably. He likes being sneaky.

re: Sneaky, sneaky....

I absolutely love this dress! I have it saved in my notebook too! : ) Have fun dress shopping! I actually had no idea how this blog thing worked so I just now saw that you left a comment on mine a few days ago. But now that I've got in figured out (i think) I'll be waiting to hear how the dress shopping went. Good luck!

re: Sneaky, sneaky....

browsing through your blog... I bought an Alfred Angelo gown for my wedding!  They are beautiful!!  1708 was actually my first choice, but I ended up with a different style because of alteration restrictions.  I love all of their dresses so much, my bridesmaids' dresses are from there too!
