Valentine's Day sweets...

And now for something completely different from that photography-gripe entry. Yesterday was Valentine's Day(and my birthday...I swear, I'm not kidding!), so Will had something up his sleeve, of course.

I woke him up early, because I made scrambled eggs and toast for us to share before I left for UCF. I had classes all day, and then work, so I didn't know a thing. When I got out of my last class yesterday, I heard a birthday voicemail message from Jessica, Will's little sister. While I was on my way home from work, Mama Anne called to wish me happy birthday. Gift When I finally got home from work, Will dropped my books on the floor, .and put on a mix CD full of sappy love songs(including "Somewhere Out There," which we'll use for our first dance), and shuffled around the living room with me. I'm not the best dancer, since I never had use for it, but it was adorable! He's a better dancer than I thought! (That's totally awesome, by the way.)

After that, we decided to go out for pizza. and he said he'd let me pick out a cake from Publix, since he wasn't sure what kind I liked. Cake Before we left for dinner, though, there was a knock on the door, and some FTD Florist guy handed us a small vase of flowers. Turns out, his parents sent them for both of us, with a card saying "Happy Valentine's Day". Wilted Flower

When I called Mama Anne to thank them, she just said, "Well, we love you, and we want you to know that." Then we did the pizza-and-cake thing, and watched True Lies until we fell asleep. I guess Will and his parents decided to extend Valentine's Day a bit, though: earlier in the week, they sent us tickets(for tonight) to see the Medieval Times dinner show in Kissimmee.

All I can say is, I'm lucky beyond words to have a fiancé like Will, and his parents are the best in the world. I never expected any of that, but there it was. Not sure why I wrote this here, but I guess it's appropriate. Seems like every time I turn around, he and his family are making sure I'm one of them. How cool is that?
