Hi! I'm newly engaged as of Monday Nov. 2nd! I love my fiance! So I would like to start blogging because I feel like I have something to stay for all out there who are young and engaged...I am 18, he is 22. Yes..we are young, you may think we don't know much, but we have been through a lot. We have similar goals and dreams. We also have the same moral standards and values. I believe that if you have a dream to be with someone for the rest of your life, but everyone says you're too young, don't listen to them. Sure it is good to think over their advice..but in the end its your decision to make. My Fiance and I have thought about our decision many times. We've listened to what others have to say, but in the end we are the only ones who can judge what is good for us. For your information too, we are not jumping into this..this has been in the process for almost a year now. We are both very happy with each other and love each other at another level that most people do not reach.
I had someone ask me the other day, "Have I done everything I want to do in my life before being married?" I thought it over, and I say yes. Today the world believes that you should be free and live it up when you are 18 all the way through your twenties. But that is the world, and my opinion of being 18 is different than what the world thinks..I don't want to go to clubs. I don't drink. I like concerts, but I can do that with my FI. I have friends and I can make more while being married. I have dreams of things I want to do with my life, but they can be done while I'm married. And I love Matt with all my heart and spirit and I do believe that I want him for the rest of my life and longer.
So for those who have the world against them, take your chance(not without thinking about it), and stand up for yourselves!
