The Knot Wedding Shop Twitter Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") entry period commences at 12:00 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time on October 28, and ends at 11:59 P.M. Eastern Standard Time on November 3, 2009 (the "Sweepstakes Entry Period"). The Sweepstakes is sponsored by The Knot, Inc., 462 Broadway, 6th floor, New York, NY 10013 (sometimes hereinafter singularly referred to as the "Sponsor").
ELIGIBILITY:
This Sweepstakes is open to any legal resident of the 50 United States, and the District of Columbia, 18 years or older as of date of entry. Entrants must be a registered member of www.twitter.com and a follower of www.twitter.com/theknot as of date of entry to be eligible. Employees of the Sponsor; any promotional companies or advertising agencies participating in the Sweepstakes and employees of their respective subsidiaries and affiliates; any persons involved in the creation, development, or implementation of this Sweepstakes; and any other persons or entities directly associated with this Sweepstakes and any members of their immediate families or households are ineligible to participate. Entries for the Sweepstakes drawing must be received prior to the expiration of the Sweepstakes Entry Period. This Sweepstakes is void in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and wherever prohibited or restricted by law, and is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. By submitting an entry form, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations that govern sweepstakes.
Grand PRIZE VALUE:

Eastern Standard Time on November 3, 2009. Limit one entry per person/email address. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your online carrier apply. Incomplete or late entries will be disqualified. An entry will be deemed to have been made by the "authorized account holder" of the email address utilized at the time the entry is made. For purposes herein, the "authorized account holder" refers to the person assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses. If an entrant is determined to have sent more than one entry, that entrant will be disqualified. All entries will become the property of The Knot, Inc. and will not be returned. The Knot, Inc. is not responsible for transmission and/or computer error.
RANDOM DRAWING/ODDS OF WINNING/WINNER:
The potential winner of the Sweepstakes will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received, on or about 12:00 P.M. November 4, 2009 The prize will be awarded and winner will be notified via email, the winner’s Twitter account, and/or U.S. mail on or before November 6, 2009, using the contact information provided in the winner's Twitter account. Each entrant is responsible for the accuracy of the information included in his/her entry. The Grand Prize drawing will be conducted by The Knot, Inc. The Grand Prize drawing shall be final and conclusive. The odds of winning the Grand Prize will be determined by the actual number of eligible entries received. Potential Grand Prize winner(s) will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and where legal, a Publicity Release within ten (10) days of notification attempt. Noncompliance within this time period will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received. Welcome to The Knot Community! Our message boards are one of the best sources for brides while planning their wedding.
Before you make your first post, some insider knowledge might be helpful:
• Post first on your local boards. This is where you’ll find a welcoming group of members who are getting married in the same area as you. Many of the local boards have Knottie Get-Togethers where so many of our brides have made lifelong friends.
• Your club board is also a great place to start. All of the Knotties here are getting married in the same month, so it’s great for seasonal ideas and counting down to your wedding day together.
• Before you post on national boards, like Planning and Etiquette and Snarky Brides, lurk first. Many of these boards have a group of regulars. P&E is one of the busiest boards where you’ll find plenty of wedding-related questions with honest answers, but be sure to check a few pages before you post to see if your question has already been asked. Attire and Accessories board is great for chatting about your dress, jewelry or tuxes, and Wedding Beauty is full of helpful style tips. Check out our Special Topic boards for your most specific questions. Also, check the FAQ section for tons of helpful tips.
• You’ll notice that most of the boards have a moderator listed at the top. Feel free to page them in a post (by typing their user name in the title) with any questions that you might have. They’re there to help.
