The Ceremony & Reception Venue

I am already getting a tiny bit frustrated with trying to decide on a venue.  Our wedding is hopefully going to be October of 2010 (it depends on if the venue we do agree on has the date open).  I personally want the ceremony outside for sure.  I don't care whether the reception is inside or outside, but I do want it at the same location as the ceremony.  I have found a couple of places, but they aren't quite fitting in the budget.  Our budget is $10,000.  Our guest count is about 80.  The area that we live in ranges in price big time.  I personally would like to have it at 1 of 2 golf courses in our area.  I am waiting on pricing for catering, facility fees, etc. from both places.  He is saying that he doesn't want it at one of the golf courses, because a friend of his just got married there.  My opinion on this is that I don't care who has had their wedding there lately, our wedding isn't for another year.  SO, I am waiting on the pricing to come back and then I will sit down with him and figure out which is a better option.

re: The Ceremony & Reception Venue

If you can find a place that is indoors and has a beautiful outside area for your ceremony then it is the best of both worlds.  I struggled with the same thing and am under the same budget restrictions.  I looked at all outdoor places and the price didn't include tents which is an added expense.  So, booking a place that has a lovely outdoor garden or is lakeside (like a Bathhouse) would be perfect!  And I think you should get married where you vision yourself, regardless of who else was married there.  The atmosphere will be different based on guests, colors, themes so no worries!
