Invitations

So this is my first time blogging even though I've been an avid poster on the boards since January or February of this year. I thought I'd give it a whirl.

At this point in our planning we have just about everything done except for booking a rehearsal dinner location. However, now comes the time for the hands on stuff. We've decided to DIY our invites and this weekend is when I plan to get elbows deep into the task. It helps that we're forecasted for a huge wintry mix storm and neither of us feel like leaving the house. I've been putting off getting these going for a while now, but now that just about all my holiday oriented stuff is done, I really need to get working on these.

As I'm typing, I'm printing out the monogram tag we're using on the front of our invite with the belly band. Another knottie gave me some great directions how to make a belly band where the ribbon goes through your monogram tag on the front and I can't wait to try it out. Trimming these little tags out will take quite some time and I'm going to work on those and the cardstock frame today before printing out our invites and RSVP card. I've also got our favor tags already cut out, but I need to cut cardstock frames for those as well. Then everything will have to be glued together, and tied to our take out boxes (we're doing a candy buffet for our favor.

Now as my last sheet prints out, it's time to get off the knot and park myself in front of the TV and try to convince FI to help me cut and trim paper for the rest of the day while watching movies.
