Two Steps Forward and Two Steps Back

This blog post is bitter sweet. I'm going to start with the bitter. I got word of my dress... it'll be shipped late February which means it'll arrive in the first two weeks of March. MARCH!! It was supposed to be here in December! I'm still not convinced it'll actually be in then. I have the feeling the bridal shop told me that to shut me up and shove me out their door. We'll see, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt then, but if it's not here by then, I will most definitely be laying into them because I'll be 1 and a half months from my wedding date and still with out a dress by that point.

Ok, now for the sweet! I've finally made some progress with my invitations! I have one fully assembled invite and the great news is that the belly band was no where near as difficult to put together as I thought!

I'm quite happy with how they're turning out! I'm going to finish assembling  the invitations just as soon as we get stamps to put on the RSVP envelopes. I feel so much better that these are coming along and they'll definitely be ready for mailing in March!

Today a local knottie friend of mine is coming over for what we have termed "DIY Day."  We're helping each other do some DIY projects to get things done a little more quickly. Today's agenda for me is to start painting the picture frames for our table numbers, and start putting together our card holder. I'll post pictures of each when they're completed!
