A new hotel opened in April on the Hawaiian island of Kaua'i, and it looks pretty amazing. The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas is set on a cliff right above the beach on the island's north shore, and was built in a traditional plantation style to fit naturally into the landscape. The 19-acre property has multiple pools (including three whirlpools), and there are two golf courses nearby .
Rooms start at $600 per night, or you can opt for an upgrade and more space in one of the resort's villas, which start at $800 per night. Get more info about honeymooning in Kaua'i, see other couples' Hawaii honeymoon photos, and visit starwoodhotels.com for reservations.

The Knot editorial assistant Tia Albright recently took a trip to Puerto Rico and found a hotel she thought would be great for honeymooners. Here’s what she says:
"Want a romantic rendezvous with old world elegance? Check out the historic Hotel El Convento located in the heart of Old San Juan. Remodeled into a luxury hotel, this 58 room Spanish Colonial style masterpiece was built as a convent (as evident by its name) more than 350 years ago. Today, the interior boasts ornate furniture, Andalusian tile floors, and rich mahogany beams, and each guest room overlooks the glistening bay or expansive views of Old San Juan.
"Another great reason to visits Hotel El Convento is the food. From traditional tapas at El Picoteo to upscale Italian cuisine at Il Perugino, you can enjoy the tastes of the island in four of their beautiful restaurants. The central location allows for walking tours of the more than a dozen historic sites, including the San Juan Cathedral and El Morro Fortress."

Check out this new resort opening in the British Virgin Islands in October 2008. Scrub Island is a 230-acre private island that's being developed as a secluded, upscale retreat. The property will offer a number of ways to unwind, including a pool complete with swim-up bar, a spa, and three beaches. And don't equate "private island" with "hard to get to" -- the resort will have complimentary airport pick-up with yacht service to the island.

Check out these rooms at the just-renovated Esperanza resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The 10 new suites include 24-hour butler service and each is decked out with flat screen TVs, iPod docking stations, and showers spacious enough for two. The property's spa has also been expanded with seven new spa treatment rooms, including a private couples' suite.
If the resort rings a bell, it's probably because Esperanza was recently host to a pair of celeb newlyweds -- it's where Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley spent their honeymoon. Get more info on honeymooning in Mexico, and visit EsperanzaResort.com for reservations.
