Our Story

Jason and I met through a mutual friend at a local bar right when I turned 21. We really liked hanging out together, making each other laugh and feeling comfortable with one another. We agreed to just be friends; however, fate had another plan. We tried to not give in to the feelings, but it happened. I’m so glad we both gave in because he has taught me how to truly love and he’s my best friend.
 
The Proposal

Jason and I were on a flight to Las Vegas with my family for a fun vacation. He isn't fond of flying and was beginning to get kind of antsy, so he ventured to the restroom. At this time, I was starting to doze off. I was woken up by my mom and dad asking me for some aspirin. All of a sudden, I heard Jay's voice over the intercom. He began by telling everyone that if they’ve ever seen The Wedding Singer, they knew what he was going to do. He then asked me to make my way to the front of the plane. The whole time, he was singing the song “I Wanna Grow Old With You," which is one of my favorite songs and is in the movie The Wedding Singer. He sang the whole song, stopping once along the way because he was tearing up! Then, in front of all the passengers and my family, he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. And, of course, I said, “Yes!”

The flight crew brought us over a bottle of bubbly to celebrate along with a congrats card they had all signed. It was so amazing!
