Andrea and Jeff

This was my proposal. I think it's safe to say it’s “The Best Stick Man Country Music Video Ever.”

The Story

To be totally honest, I was expecting a proposal in the somewhat near future since we’d been talking about it seriously for a little while.

My expectation was a small, low-key proposal because we’re not romantic in the normal “roses and champagne” way at all; however, I was completely surprised by what he actually did.

Jeff plays guitar and sings, and the weekend before, he’d been recording an EP with his band.

On a Tuesday after work, Jeff called me into the living room to show me something on his laptop. I assumed it was one of the band's new songs, and when a movie file opened, I thought they were being dorks and made something to go with one of the songs.

It wasn't until about 30 seconds in when I saw a stick girl in a wheelchair with a muscle-y stick man outside the bar that I realized what it was. I looked at him, possibly to make sure this was what I thought it was and to get his approval to commence crying and yes-ing. When he pulled out the ring, that’s exactly what I did.

We watched the movie through with an equal amount of laughing as there was crying. Even though I’d already said “yes” numerous times to the stick man video, he then bent down on his knee and officially asked me.

It was the funniest and most “us” proposal I could ever have hoped for.

Click the link below to see it! It's called “Don't Rollover My Heart.”
