Jessica and Kevin

Kevin took me on a "date night" to CineBistro. CineBistro is a movie theater that caters to the "dinner & a movie" concept. We had reservations to see Yes Man starring Jim Carrey. I wasn’t too interested in seeing that movie, but I had no idea that the title of the movie would mean so much.

After the previews were shown, the movie screen went black. The manager of the theater came and said to all the guests, "Please excuse the interruption; the movie will begin in a few minutes." Suddenly, I heard Kevin's voice coming from the screen. I looked up, and sure enough, Kevin was on the movie screen. I was in shock! I couldn’t understand how Kevin was on the movie screen and sitting next to me! The other people in the audience began to make comments, "OMG that's him..." All of the movie theater staff came in to watch what was about to happen. On the movie screen, Kevin was telling me how much he loved me and how he didn’t want to wait any longer. Next thing I knew, he was on his knees in front of me, asking, "Will you marry me?"

I was in a state of total shock! Of course, I said yes! Obviously, I couldn’t sit through the movie, so as soon as it began, we walked out of the theater. Kevin immediately told me that we had to head to his parents’ house to tell them the news. Little did I know, we were heading to a surprise engagement party. All my family, friends, and loved ones were all there! It was the happiest moment of my life to date! I was totally surprised and couldn’t believe that it was all real. It seemed like a dream!
