Diana & Andrew

While Andrew and I were vacationing in Japan last year we went with his adopted family to Enoshima Island.
It was so pretty there. We were right by the ocean, and Mt. Fuji was in the background. There were gardens, temples, a tower, and many other things to see and do.
We climbed up this hill, otherwise known as, “couples' hill." There's a long fence where you and your significant other write your initials on a padlock and lock on the fence to symbolize your everlasting relationship. Then after, the couple rings the bell as a tradition for good luck.
So, Andrew and I put our own lock on the fence amongst the others. It had "A.L & D.P. 44" on it. (44 = forever). Then we rang the bell together while his adopted family took a picture.
After we rung the bell, Andrew went down on his knee to propose to me! I was so surprised. Of course, I said yes!
Unknowingly, his adopted family was actually recording a video not taking a picture. Our special moment on Sept. 7, 2009 was captured, and it was perfect.
