Tales of a Jewish Bride-to-Be: Registry Lazar Tag

Due to circumstances beyond our control we are registering at Bloomingdales. I refuse to register at Macy's because they are an uncaring monopoly that single-handedly destroyed a Chicago institution (Marshall Fields). I was trying to figure out a way we wouldn't have to register at a Federated-owned store at all, but the closest Saks is in Beverly Hills, the Neiman's isn't opening at Topanga until 2008 and Nordstroms has no bridal registry.

Adam and I weren't even going to register at a department store, we figure between the awesome linen/gadget store and the classy glass and dishes store we'd be fine. But we were told that his mother's friends (nine of whom are hosting my shower) want something nicer. So off we will go to Bloomies.

Tomorrow we head to the linen store. We figure we'll get half done with my aunt and then go back with his mother on Sunday to do the other half. And we haven't been able to get around to cleaning out his kitchen yet (I just hope we'll have room for everything....Big Smile
