Whodunit

We brides-to-be must occupy ourselves in a variety of ways or we will go insane. You cannot plan a wedding 24/7 -- it isn't normal, anyone who says otherwise needs a hobby. So, tonight, I curled up with a good mystery -- actually three: a made-for-TV movie on Hallmark, an episode of Murder She Wrote that I amazingly had not seen before and a new book where the clues are embedded in a Sudoku game.

Earlier today I finished the program for the ceremony, updated the guest list, confirmed the plans for the bar with my future mother-in-law and finalized the honeymoon plans. It was a big day ... I figured I earned a break.

I'm a pretty good detective -- I love a good locked-room puzzle (the ones where you know all the suspects). Trying to figure out how to solve other people's problems is a great way to stop thinking about your own.

Of course, any bride can turn her own wedding into a mystery. I've seen one where the mother-in-law to be killed the groom (the bridesmaid solved it); one where the mother of the bride was killed (the coordinator solved it); and one where the photographer was killed by the bride (a guest solved it). Just once, I think someone should write a mystery where the bride solves the crime.

Maybe I'll write it after the wedding... since I'll have much more time on my hands. Idea
