The juggling act

Multitasking. It isn't just a gerund, it is a way of life when you are a bride to be.

With about three weeks left until W-day, there isn't nearly enough time to do everything individually. So I double-up on my efforts:

I've been wearing my wedding shoes in the car to and from work so I can break them in without getting dirty.

During a recent meeting, I finished filling out the play and do-not-play lists for the DJ.

This morning, when I took my car in to get serviced, I wrote 11 thank you notes.

While sitting in traffic, I've been mentally writing the dvar Torah I'm giving at our auf ruf next week.

In looking over the last 11 months, most of my time has been spent doing two things at once: as a matter of fact, I'm writing this blog while doing laundry and watching one of my favorite Disney classics, "Candleshoe."

This weekend, Adam and I are going to be picking up the wedding presents we'll be giving to each other (and testing a scavenger hunt at Disneyland we're helping staff the weekend before the wedding).

However, there are a few things that get thje solo spotlight. Now that most of the forms have been filled out -- and the favors are finished -- I'm enjoying shower No. 4, getting a manicure and helping my aunt pick out the out-of-towner basket snacks.

Of course, the pile of boxes is still there (as I expect it will be for months). Wonder if I could unpack and plan the seating chart at the same time. Cool
