Save the date ideas

We got FMIL's save-the-date in the mail yesterday!  A cutsey little magnet with sort of a mod design on it.  Very her!  Can't wait until her wedding.  I'm one of her bridesmaids and fiance is walking her down the aisle.  I think it will be great and a lot of fun.  :D  Some people had attitudes when I said I was going to be one of my FMIL's BM's, because at the time fiance and I were not yet engaged.  We'd only be dating for FOUR YEARS!  Her son and I were in Europe together for the entire summer when she asked me, for crisp's sake!

I was surfing peoples' blogs and came across this idea for a save-the-date photo strip and fell in love!!  I can't wait to make our own!  I'm really just posting it here so I don't lose the link to this one that I absolutely love.  When it comes time I'm going to show this one to fiance because I like how they did the black and white with the splash of color, and I'm not completely sure I'd tell him that the right way... I think its called saturated, but I'm not sure.  Fiance is a graphic designer so he'd know these things.  ;)

The only problem I am thinking is how to put them in an envelope without it just floating in there.  Also, I'm thinking it'd be nice to make it into a magnet but I'm not sure how I'd do that.  Anyone reading this have a suggestion?

I did a lot of things in the past year: graduated from Univ of Central Florida, lived and worked in London for the summer, moved to Kansas City from New Orleans from Orlando, and got engaged! Hopefully this year will be just as exciting!
