If you haven't had the chance to experience one of Elan Artists many talented acts, you're in for a treat this Wednesday. From classical musicians to dance bands and DJs, Elan Artists represents talented performers (not to mention photographers and videographers) nationwide.
Wednesday, January 18, they'll be showcasing some of their dance bands (perfect for your wedding reception!) at The Beverly Wilshire. The first band goes on at 6:30pm, so get there early. Email rsvpla@elanartists.com to RSVP and go to dancebandshowcase.com for updates and future events.

Corona del Mar-based wedding planner Barbara Wallace stopped by Bloomingdale's in Fashion Island a couple of weeks ago to speak about the importance of creating a wedding registry and to sign some fresh copies of her new book,
Beautiful Bride from Every Angle, which she co-wrote with two other wedding pros--stylist Annie Withers and photographer Lars Wanberg.

Two weeks ago, brides and LA wedding pros gathered at The London West Hollywood to soak up trends for Summer 2011 at the The Wedding Salon event. What did they see? Shout out to the totally gorgeous Parker Palm Springs hotel (TheParkerPalmSprings.com), where The Knot is doing a fashion and cover photo shoot today. We can’t wait to see how everything turned out when our team gets home! For now, we'll have to do with this iPhone photo from our art director, Julie.
In honor of the fabulous location, I've posted a couple of photos from Sami and Michael’s wedding there. Notice how the hotel's architecture inspired their invitation design? David Tutera, who we love (and love to watch on We TV's "My Fair Wedding") recently stopped by Unique Vintage Dress Boutique (Unique-Vintage.com) in Burbank with a lucky bride and her bridesmaids for Season 3 of the show. See which dress the girls end up wearing and get a glimpse of the boutique when the show airs this Sunday night, August 15 at 10.
