Knot Annie: What boards do you post on?

romeys_bride: African American Brides, July 2009, DC Area, Not Engaged, Trash to Treasure…really, I will post on any board with a good topic!

Knot Annie: Describe your wedding.

romeys_bride: I would love to call it traditional with a modern twist. I want to have a sort of tropical elegance without all the tacky palm tree decor. This wedding is the most “over the top” I think I’ll ever be.

Knot Annie: How have the Knotties on your board helped you plan?

romeys_bride: I love every piece of advice I’ve ever gotten on the boards. They helped me plan my bio, gave advice on color schemes, and even made suggestions about my dress. My July 2009 girls are the best!

Knot Annie: Favorite bio on The Knot and why?

romeys_bride: Mine, of course! Though I have to give praises to blue19violet and gen259 on the African American board with me. They took so much time making their bios and it shows. I got some really creative ideas from both of them.

Knot Annie: Best vendor that you’ve worked with and why?

romeys_bride: My florist, who showed me that carnations aren’t just for funerals! I was sold based on her presentation.

Knot Annie: Any words of wisdom for the lurkers out there?

romeys_bride: Don’t be afraid! Join in the conversation! We welcome newbies on every board. I, too, was a lurker though.

Knot Annie: What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day?
romeys_bride: Wearing the dress and seeing my FI looking sharp and handsome.
