Knot Annie: What boards do you post on and have you ever joined other Knotties for a GTG?

Morgan101009: Los Angeles is my “home,” and more recently: Baltimore, Making It Personal, and African American Weddings. I’ve been to quite a few GTGs with the “annoyingly beautiful, irksomely smart” Los Angeles Knotties.

Knot Annie:Describe your wedding.

Morgan101009: That’s such a hard question to answer because it’s kind of morphed all on its own. So right now it’s looking like evening “visionary” elegance. Does that make any sense? Picture the warmth of autumn, edginess of modern artwork, and elegance minus all of the frills and flowers. Get it?

KA: How have the Knotties on your board helped you plan?

Morgan101009: The LA Knotties are filled with the most awesome ideas and inspiration. They’re also good to turn to when I need a break from all of the planning shenanigans.

KA: Favorite bio on The Knot and why?

Morgan101009: This is SOOOO hard. I really don’t have a favorite, as they’re all good for different sources of info and inspiration.

KA: Best vendor that you’ve worked with and why?

Morgan101009: Michele Damon Events, my event coordinator. They’ve saved me lots of headaches and frustrations -- and SOOOO much money. Planning from across the country is hard, but they’ve definitely helped.

KA: Any words of wisdom for the lurkers out there?

Morgan101009: Oh my…why lurk when you can join in on the shenanigans?! Sitting on the sidelines is never that fun. And let me tell you, when you first post just to ask a question, you don’t get as much feedback and help as if you were a part of the board’s “family.” Quit lurking and join!

KA: What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day?

Morgan101009: The PHOTO BOOTH! I know I’m supposed to say marrying my husband-to-be, being with family, friends, blah blah blah. But photo booths are a major part of my relationship with my FI, and there will be a photo booth on THE DAY. I can’t wait to smush in there and take great pictures with him and our guests!
