Knot Name: Fotophreak4c
Wedding Date: 10/30/2009
Knot Annie: What’s your board like and have you ever joined the Knotties for a GTG?
Fotophreak4c: My local Central Florida Board has been so great in helping me find a DJ and giving me ideas for my reception. Even the girls who’ve already gotten married have so many great tips for us girls who are still going through the wedding process. I’m really lucky to be involved with our CFL Board! The October 2009 board has been great also. It’s nice to have a board where we’re all going through the same things at the same time. They have great ideas for fall weddings and decor. The girls are very nice and always helpful.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to go to a GTG, but they’re all the sweetest girls ever!
KA: Describe your wedding.
Fotophreak4c: I’m marrying the man of my dreams on October 30, the day before Halloween. We’re having a dark, spooky wedding but filled with elegance and personalization. Our colors are chocolate brown, apple green, plum, and orange. Our centerpieces will be a mixture of old vintage birdcages filled with candles, and vases with curly willow with votives hanging from the limbs. The room will be dark with orange uplighting to set the mood.
I’m really excited about all of my family coming from out of state. My fiance’s family is from the North and my family is all in Alabama, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Needless to say, it will definitely be interesting!
KA: How have the Knotties on your board helped you plan?
Fotophreak4c: They have a lot of DIY ideas, including the Martha Stewart pom pom napkin rings that I’ve already tested!
KA: Favorite bio on The Knot and why?
Fotophreak4c: LJKaucher has amazing vintage taste and her bio is amazing.
KA: Best vendor that you’ve worked with and why?
Fotophreak4c: So far, it has to be Robert McClory, my photographer. I was a photo major and I do a lot of photography and graphic design work. I was a real stickler and Robert is one of the best photographers I’ve seen. He’s been able to customize a package for my small budget.
KA: What’s something that makes your wedding unique for your guests, and where did you find the inspiration?
Fotophreak4c: I got help from the girls on The Knot. Instead of doing typical favors, I’m making a donation to the French Bulldog Rescue Network. It’s an organization close to my heart. I have a French bulldog who’s paralyzed in his back legs and wheelchair-bound. I’m so excited to use my favor money to help French bulldogs who are paralyzed and need foster homes. The organization is sending me photos of the dogs I’ll help. My table numbers will include a photo of each dog and their story. All of my family knows that I’m a huge animal lover and how much I love my own Frenchie. It’s really exciting to be able to personalize my table numbers with one of my greatest loves!
KA: What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day?
Fotophreak4c: I’m most looking forward to walking down the aisle and seeing my future husband and all of my close family and friends! Mike and I have known each other since we were little. We grew up in the same neighborhood and our parents’ houses are just a block away from each other. I’ve been waiting for this day for a very long time!
Thank you for being our Spotlight Knottie! I love the pics of your French Bulldog in your blog!
