Knot Annie: Tell me about the Knotties on your board that you post on. Have you ever joined them for a GTG?
sms274: The girls on the board I visit most (Phoenix) are absolutely wonderful. They are quite helpful with suggesting vendors, giving ideas and suggesting solutions. I love being a part of the board and while I haven’t yet, hope to get together with some of them sooner rather than later. I have also recently started visiting the May 2010 board so I am really looking forward to getting to know them as well!!
KA: Describe your wedding.
sms274: Our wedding is pink and black with lots of glitz and glam. It will be reminiscent of old Hollywood. I am not using any flowers in the reception; instead we will have 3 different candlescape designs.
How have the Knotties on your board helped you plan? They have provided endless suggestions on vendors, sent photos of their inspiration current plans and weddings to help give ideas. I have also talked to a few about buying their items and some even rent out their linens – which is such a great idea.
Favorite bio on The Knot and why? There are SO MANY! But a few that I visit often are: FutureMrsL.R.Allen fisktobe nycegrrl99 jinxed8605 funkyfish42 because they have lots of ideas and similar taste which has inspired a lot of ideas for our wedding.
KA: Best vendor that you’ve worked with and why?
sms274: Our photographer A & B Photos. Even before I started meeting with photographers (they follow me on twitter) they were so helpful in suggesting locations and other vendors and after we signed with them they continue to help with every aspect of planning.
KA: What will make your wedding stand out to your guest and where did you find the inspiration?
sms274: The detail and fun elements incorporated. Throughout our planning we have thought a lot about our guests and what they would enjoy so we have a several fun elements to please everyone including a candy bar, cigar bar and photo booth as well as, what we think to be, the best DJ in town. Inspiration came from a variety of places on the knot and our friends themselves, plus my background in event planning.
KA: What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day?
sms274: Getting married of course! Other than that, just enjoying the day with our closest friends and family (plus we have a special surprise with our first song).
