Knot Name: navybaby1113

Wedding Date: March 27, 2010

Knot Annie: Tell me about the Knotties on your board that you post on. Have you ever joined them for a GTG?

navybaby1113: We've had a couple GTGs in Tallahassee. The first one had about six ladies plus my FI. The rest of the GTGs we've had were just two other girls and me. There aren't many Tallahassee ladies on our local board anymore.

KA: Describe your wedding.

navybaby1113: We're getting married in a rustic area (an old plantation) and I'm trying to give it some romantic charm with my pink-and-green color palette. We're serving Southern barbecue-style food and having a great DJ for everyone out on the floor.

KA: How have the Knotties on your board helped you plan?

navybaby1113: They've pushed me in a direction toward a lot of vendors. They've also been very generous and added a few things for free, so that definitely helps me stay on budget. They're also a very good audience when I need to vent or if I have a question.

KA: Favorite bio on The Knot and why?

navybaby1113: Bayhunter, because her wedding inspired mine so much. She had a gorgeous wedding and did a lot of DIY projects.

KA: Best vendor that you’ve worked with and why?

navybaby1113: My photographer is by far my favorite vendor. Throughout the planning process, she became a friend as well as my photographer. She has gorgeous pictures, great prices, and a huge heart. I can't wait to work with her on our wedding day.

KA: What will make your wedding stand out to your guests and where did you find the inspiration?

navybaby1113: I think our wedding will stand out because of the location. Most people choose to have their wedding in a ballroom. Our venue is far from that! The reception will take place in an old, remodeled barn. It's all wood with Christmas lights strung throughout. Very Southern and unique!

KA: What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day?

navybaby1113: Getting married to my best friend. It sounds corny, but you have to remember that getting married is what the day is all about.
