Knot Name: cfaszews25
Wedding Date: October 9, 2010
Knot Annie: Tell me about the Knotties on your board that you post on. Have you ever joined them for a GTG?
cfaszews25: I haven't been able to join my fellow October girls for a GTG yet. We are trying to organize one for the Southeastern part of the country. It's hard when everyone lives so far away! I would love to do one, though.
KA: Describe your wedding.
cfaszews25: My wedding is in Richmond, Virginia -- my hometown. We are getting married in a Catholic church that has a lot of history for my family. My parent's were married there and my sisters and I were all baptized there. It's a beautiful church and I am so happy I can get married in a place that has meaning. Our reception is at a Shriner's Temple - you know, the people who wear fezs and drive the tiny cars in parades! My uncle is a shriner, and they have a beautiful ballroom.
It's also good to know that the money we are spending to rent the ballroom is going to an organization that supports children's hospitals. Our colors are purple, cranberry, and gold -- very rich for a fall wedding!
KA: How have the Knotties on your board helped you plan?
cfaszews25: They have been great! I've asked for advice on everything from planning, colors, to bridesmaids gifts. Everyone is really supportive and gives great ideas.
KA: Favorite bio on The Knot and why?
cfaszews25: I really like drdifabio's and lizzonyc 's bio because they have so many great DIY ideas. I wish I had more artistic talent.
KA: Best vendor that you’ve worked with and why?
cfaszews25: My favorite vendor so far is probably my photographer, Rebekah O'Dell, she does great work for good prices! She's really helped me come up with great ideas for shoots on the wedding day and my bridal portrait shoot. Plus, she is really easy to get in touch with.
KA: What will make your wedding stand out to your guests and where did you find the inspiration?
cfaszews25: I think our reception venue is phenomenal and unique, since you need to know a member to have access to it. I think our colors are also unique for a fall wedding --- normally you just see the orange, red, brown, leaf-like color palette. I got my inspiration from spending countless hours looking at other wedding photos. The Knot has been a great source!
KA: What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day?
cfaszews25: Marrying the man of my dreams and being able to celebrate it with my family and friends. Plus, it's going to be a great party!
