Knot Name: DLLadybug
Wedding Date: October 9, 2010
Knot Annie: Tell me about the Knotties on your board that you post on. Have you ever joined them for a GTG?
DLLadybug: The girls of the October 2010 board are amazing! I love them all and am thankful to have such a wonderful group of ladies to talk to about wedding things and also non-wedding related topics. Unfortunately, I have not been able to attend a GTG (due to work), but I do hope I'll be able to go to one soon. This summer, I am getting together with two local knotties from the October 2010 board, and I’m looking forward to it!
KA: Describe your wedding.
DLLadybug: I love to think of my wedding as being traditional with a twist. The ceremony will be at my church and the reception will be at a local country club. The reception will include a lot of dancing and fun games. I want to include our guests in our day as much as possible!
KA: How have the Knotties on your board helped you plan?
DLLadybug: The Knotties have been wonderful with lending a helping hand, not only to give opinions but to also help me through stressful situations. The Knotties helped me feel secure in my choice of gown as well as my bridesmaid dresses.
They also helped me by giving me ideas for my save-the-dates. I had a rough draft of my ideas, but hearing more creative minds really let me put things together to create the "ultimate save-the-date."
KA: Favorite bio on the knot and why?
DLLadybug: Lizzonyc - I love how Liz has so much information on her bio, and I love the layout. She has some wonderful ideas on there as well.
KA: What will make your wedding stand out to your guests, and where did you find the inspiration?
DLLadybug: I think what will make my wedding stand out is this wonderful idea of having a raffle when people clink their spoons against their water glasses to get Ryan and me to kiss. Every time someone clinks their glass, the DJ will draw a couple's names out of a hat and they will have to kiss too! I was inspired by this idea from a friend. I thought, why can't the guests have their kissy moments too?
KA: What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day?
DLLadybug: I am looking forward to spending time with my close family and friends. The thought of and having them there to witness the beginning of our starting life together as a couple gives me butterflies. I am also looking forward to marrying my best friend.
