Knot Annie: Tell me about the Knotties on your board that you post on. Have you ever joined them for a GTG?
Klynn86: I love the girls on my board! I mainly post on October 2010 brides and all the girls on there are fantastic! I have a great time posting and it's great to go there for support, especially after a long day! I wish I were able to join them for a GTG! I'm a Canadian Knottie, and there are only a few Canadians on our board, and none of them are close to where I am! I would meet any of the girls in a heartbeat though if I were closer.
KA: Describe your wedding.
Klynn86: My fiance is originally from Zimbabwe so we have a lot of out-of-country guests invited. It's stressful but very exciting with all of them making plans to come all the way from Africa, Australia, and the UK to be there for us. We are also trying to represent our two cultures equally. Our colors are deep red, black, and white, and we're having an afternoon ceremony.
KA: How have the Knotties on your board helped you plan?
Klynn86L: The Knotties on my board are extremely helpful! If I ever have a question about anything at all, I know that if I get on the board and post I will get many responses, and all of them are helpful. I think having people to talk to, vent to, and ask wedding related questions of on a daily basis is so great. They are all going through the same things as you and won't get annoyed at all the wedding talk and the "moments" we all have while planning. I know that if I talked to my friends about half the things that I talk to the girls on my board about, I probably would annoy them constantly!
KA: Favorite bio on the knot and why?
Klynn86: I honestly couldn't even pick. I love looking through all the bios because it gives me so much inspiration! I love seeing everyone's ideas and progress!
KA: What will make your wedding stand out to your guests and where did you find the inspiration?
Klynn86: We're definitely having an international wedding! We have guests from four continents coming. We're also incorporating my fiance's heritage through music, food, and atmosphere. I think it would definitely stand out from the typical weddings we see around here just because of that!
KA: What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day?
Klynn86: I'm looking forward to meeting all my new family (since I've only been able to meet my fiance's mom and brother as of now since everyone lives so far away), and also I’m looking forward to meeting and seeing his friends who are making the trip out. And, of course, I'm looking forward most to marrying my best friend, and the man of my dreams!
