In The Beginning

I want to say it started the day we first laid eyes on each other but there is a good argument in stating it started even before that. 

I knew who he was and we had spoken several times on the phone.  But he lived and worked out of our NY office and so for a time he was a simply a co-worker.  A co-worker with a personality that was quite unique to our company and shined through every email and phone call.  So I admit I was already secretly charmed before we ever met face to face. 

That said, I had no expectations but to put a face to voice as I spent several days getting new job-training in a couple of our soon-to-be-relocated departments. NY was closing and I needed to know how they did their jobs. As a parting gift, each was to pass on years of accrued knowledge to me in just the matter of a few days.  The first two days I spent with my Honey, he was teaching me the basics of Photo Editing.  The rest was “learn-as-you-go.” 

And we kept on going.
