Today I Buy My Dress

Thus concludes the BEST part of wedding planning.

I started shopping around a couple months ago. First a trip out to the Wedding Plantation where dresses abound.  I got a good feel for styles I liked and those that I didn't, but none spoke strong enough to stop there.  A Saturday here, a Friday there, I went around to a few smaller shops with accompanied by either my good friend and bridesmaid or my mother.  I actually found The Dress at the second store I went to.  I admit that when I had put it on there was an instant feeling of "I think this could be it!"  But I kept looking anyways. How could I lose?  At worst I knew there was at least one dress out there I could return to. At best I would find another, even better dress. And either way, I got to try on more dresses (my FAVORITE part of wedding planning)!

In the end it came down to two.  The original dress mentioned above and one that I came across in my last foray into the hunt.  Both were flattering and beautiful and it did make the decision a little hard.  But I'm going back to that first dress.  And today I'm gonna buy it!
