Weddings are expensive!

Okay, it's not like I'm surprised here or anything.  I have a budget and I'm doing my best to plan within it.  I figured if I was careful with what we spent money on and paid attention to the costs of everything, we would be fine.  Naive?  Yeah, I know.

So now even with my best efforts being put forth, meeting a budget is hard to do.  Somehow EVERYTHING I have researched so far has been more than I had expected.  Sometimes by a little (dresses) and sometimes by a lot (photographers).  The one thing I really wanted to "spluge" on was a live band.  But as that is a very temporary enjoyment (photographs will last MUCH longer) I just may have to rethink it. 

All the same, I think we are doing a good job -- we haven't blown the budget yet!  And I can't wait to see how it all comes together, 7 scant months months from now!
