Decided to give this a try...

So, I decided to start a wedding blog.  I thought it might be a good way for me to sort out some of my ideas and maybe get some unbiased opinions.  I am pretty excited about the venue we chose  Every time I go back, I love it more! The giant Willow tree is just breathtaking and having the site on the water makes it even better.  I have posted a picture of the ceremony site. 

I am also pretty excited about the theme I have chosen.  I tend to get weird looks when I tell people, but I am okay with that.  I am doing a peacock theme.  When I thought of the idea a few months ago, I thought it was original and ahead of the times.  I am sort of bummed to find it is being predicted as the number one wedding trend for 2010.

However, that is not going to stop me.  I have always loved peacock feathers.  The color combination is absolutely stunning.  It also works perfect with the elegant/vintage feel that I hope to give the wedding.  For now I am throwing alot of ideas around.  Unfortunately we are on a very tight budget and of course I have expensive taste! :) I am going to post some of the inspiration I have found.  

 Any suggestions would be appreciated.
