Wedding Invitations: Eye-Catching Fabric Invites

Posted Friday, May 23, 2008 10:48 AM

I've had a wedding invitation sitting on my desk for a few days that's prompted a ton of my coworkers to stop and chat -- it's gotten even more attention than my trusty Magic 8-Ball. The blue fabric-covered invite is made by Blue Magpie, which specializes in sewn invitation enclosures that have a really distinct look.

You can choose from a range of fabrics -- from silk dupioni to organic cotton -- designed to fit classic and contemporary weddings alike. In the four examples shown here, the top two are made of cotton, the enclosure with the pink ribbon is made of wool, and the invite in the bottom right corner has an enclosure made of an eco-friendly bamboo/cotton blend. (Get more tips on how to find earth-friendly wedding invitations.)

If the great response from my coworkers is any indication, these invites are guaranteed to impress your guests.
