Reception Sites: A Rustic Fermenting Cellar

Posted Tuesday, July 22, 2008 12:44 PM

Tired of the same cookie cutter reception halls? Think outside the box. With a little inventiveness, you can turn any space into your dream wedding. This historic distillery makes the perfect backdrop for a rustic fall wedding. The Knot’s Real Wedding couple, Stacey and Henry used their imagination to transform a bare, dark distillery into a warm, inviting space.

Birch branches and hanging votives complemented the limestone walls, vaulted ceilings, fermenting tanks, and timber trusses of The Fermenting Cellar located in the heart of Toronto’s historic Distillery District. By picking a unique location, the couple was able to scale back on decorations and let beauty of the venue stand out.
