Wedding Details: An East-Meets-West Wedding

Posted Wednesday, August 20, 2008 11:47 AM

Planning an interfaith wedding and worried about trying to blend your faiths into one ceremony? Consider having two ceremonies. We love how Young and Todd from Massachusetts managed to plan two ceremonies and incorporate both of their cultures into their wedding weekend. The couple's two-day, East-meets-West wedding extravaganza took place at an estate on Cape Cod this past July. Up first was the Western ceremony, officiated by Todd's Uncle Bruce.

Following the outdoor ceremony was a savory reception dinner, filled with international dishes like Japanese fish and colorful touches like fresh orchids atop pink napkins.

In honor of Young's heritage, day two of the wedding weekend featured a Korean wedding ceremony, where both the bride and groom wore traditional Korean wedding wear.

Are you planning an interfaith wedding? If so, how are you incorporating the traditions into your day?
