Guest Bloggers: Eunice & Sabrina Moyle from Hello!Lucky

Posted Tuesday, December 23, 2008 5:41 PM

We are so very excited to have co-founders Eunice and Sabrina Moyle from the oh-so-pretty Hello!Lucky stationery studio in San Francisco guest blogging for us this week. In addition to creating gorgeous stationery designs, this stylish duo just come out with a new book called Handmade Hellos: Fresh Greeting Card Projects from First-Rage Crafters (calling all DIY brides!).

Here, top stationery trends and TONS of gorgeous stationery pics from Eunice and Sabrina at Hello!Lucky....

1. Silhouettes

We love silhouettes on wedding invitations because they're both modern and nostalgic -- not to mention elegant, personal, and playful. They can portray people (the bride and groom, natch!) or flora and fauna.

2. Patterned envelope liners

Envelope liners are a great way to incorporate a pattern into the invitation while making it feel more polished. Here are some of our recent favorites.

3. Playful calligraphy

Calligraphy is a classic way to add a personal touch to invitations, but we love the way these designers incorporate it with a playful twist:

4. Destinations

Every wedding is a destination wedding -- even if that destination is your home town! We love the way these capture a sense of place and its significance to the couple, and build anticipation for a fun get-away!

5. Bold Colors

Saturated, jewel-tone colors have been all the rage in the fashion world, and we're glad to see them making their way to weddings. We're especially loving fuchsia and bold yellows.

6. DIY

With everyone trimming budgets this year, DIY is bigger (and better!) than ever. In particular, more web sites are offering free download-able templates -- these can especially come in handy for day-of details such as programs and favors.
