Here's a brilliant -- and budget-friendly -- idea: Choose your favorite city and hold your ceremony at its city hall.
How much does it cost to get married in a gorgeous place in Manhattan? $60. Yes, really. And that includes the $35 marriage license fee! Thanks to the soon-to-open Office of the City Clerk, where you can have a civil ceremony in a newly renovated section of a historic downtown Manhattan building, New York City just may take over as wedding capital of the world (sorry, Vegas).
Surprised? So were we when we got a sneak peek at the site today.

Not only is there an immaculate dressing room area that rivals bridal suites at traditional venues (complete with the requisite full-length mirror!), but there are also two charming -- not cheesy -- chapels that can accommodate 30 guests each.
There's even an on-site flower shop with plenty of pretty bouquet and boutonniere options.
Plus, with the new state-of-the-art system to get everyone in and married efficiently, the long wait times associated with city hall weddings are a thing of a past. Check out the kiosks where you can start the marriage license application process!
