I was looking through dozens of photos of centerpieces the other day, and this one from Erin and Chris's Huddleston, VA, wedding actually made me say, "Wow!" out loud. Is it any wonder? From the polka-dot linens and vase belly bands to the funky-shaped flowers like yellow spider mums and craspedia (done by
Waterlily Pond Floral Design), I was smitten. But what really won me over were the red-and-white dahlias. Any flower with multiple colors per bloom, like some vanda orchids with a purple and white grid-like design and orange tiger lilies with their dark, leopard-esque spots, makes a big impact in a bunch. These dahlias are especially striking because the other flowers in the centerpiece are all yellow.
