Reception Ideas - Unique Place Settings

A few weeks ago, I heard a great tip from New York wedding planner, Lindsay Landman: Instead of investing all your reception decor budget into your centerpieces, focus more on the overall aesthetic of your tables with custom linens and tableware. She showed us an example of two tables, each priced at $300. The first table was topped with an amazing $300 floral centerpiece and set with standard white linens and dinnerware. The second: A table with a small clustering of flowers, custom linens, chargers, and glassware -- also $300. The second table was 10 times more impactful than the first.
The place setting above is from Courtney and Erin's wedding in Los Angeles. Instead of large floral arrangements, they sprung for patterened china and colorful linens. To get a similar look, cut back on your flowers and contract a rental company to provide custom linens and dinnerware for your tables. Use our wedding vendor rentals search, and then after your wedding send us your gorgeous reception table photos!
