We are so excited to have wedding planner, JoAnn Gregoli, guest blogging for us this weekend. Her weddings always look so effortlessly beautiful (check out the weddings on her site). Here she is to tell us about domestic destination weddings...
"When people think of a 'destination wedding,' they automatically think of beaches of far away islands. But there are fabulous gems throughout the United States. For example, Encantado Resort in Santa Fe, New Mexico is a fabulous place for a wedding -- it's easy to fly to, the desert sunsets are amazing, and the resort offers breathtaking views from the top of the mountains.
One of my favorite domestic destination wedding spots is Napa Valley, California. The wedding I did there most recently (photos above) was for a couple who loved wine, so rather than Italy, they decided on Napa Valley, a much more affordable option. And it felt so much like a destination wedding! They gave out wine openers are favors, had fabulous food and decor, and the setting among the vines was unbeatable." -- JoAnne Gregoli, Elegant Occasions
