Wedding Flowers - Baby's Breath Is Back!

Posted Tuesday, May 19, 2009 6:03 PM

I know, I know -- the words "baby's breath" bring back visions of the past you'd rather forget (my 8th grade dance corsage, for instance). But I'm telling you, a bundle of baby's breath in a bouquet or a centerpiece is effortlessly elegant. I'm sensing a resurgence.

Sorry, I'm not on the baby's breath bandwagon.

I love baby's breath, in fact it is my favorite flower... and yes, I know it is not really a flower. I plan on incorporating them into our wedding, without going ALL baby's breath.

Baby's Breath is my favorite flower, and EVERYONE makes fun of me for it. I hope it does come back!

no to baby's breath. it stinks (that's why it's called baby's breath. it smells like soured milk)

i'm using queen anns lace instead. i love the rustic look, and i'm putting bunches of them in mason jars.

I really like the idea of baby's breath for the bridesmaids bouquets. I like how simple and pretty it looks. The price tag is wonderful too!

I retract my last statement...the more pictures i see...the more I like it! In fact, I will more than likley use it as my centerpieces for my wedding!  Its time to think outside the box! :)

I'm still undecided. I think that it can definitely work, but it really depends on how your guests react. If they look at the display simply for its beauty then it can be okay. But too many people still hold onto the old ideas of Baby's Breathe as  "filler" and I want my wedding to look elegant...not cheap!!!

I love baby's breath. It's been on done on a major wedding planning show and it was beautiful. I'm using it in our wedding...abundantly.  There will be other flowers, but BB will make a grand entrance!

I love baby's breath as well. We are putting bunches of them in small galvanized buckets. Great for a rustic feel
